The Covenant
The only way to walk with God is by covenant. The covenant is your protection, it’s the way you grow in power and authority, and it holds the key to unlocking generational blessings (Genesis 17:4-8). We are under a new covenant since the 1st coming of Jesus Christ. The new covenant is by partaking in the Holy Communion. We must also study the word and grow in Christ through:
- Reading the Bible: We are instructed to read the word daily to awaken to the knowledge of God and learn how to successfully walk with Him. The word of God instructs us on how to conduct ourselves as God’s people and it teaches us the depths of God’s power.
- Speaking in tongues: Speaking in tongues strengthens and awakens our spirit so that the Holy Spirit can fully take over our bodies and minds over time. This gives us self-control and the knowledge of God’s will. As your Spirit awakens so will your spiritual gifts.
- Worship and repentance: Worshipping and repenting creates a pathway for angelic activity, as seen in the case of Paul and Silas (Acts 16:25-26 NLT). Because God is a Spirit and in heaven, worshipping and repenting is one of the pathways He uses to come down to earth and perform miracles.
- Taking Holy Communion: In the old testament, people had to constantly offer animal sacrifices to pay for their sins and be made right with God. But because Jesus sacrificed Himself for our sins, once we believe in Him and partake in the Holy communion, we are made right with God. We can only enter into the new covenant once we partake in the Holy Communion. The blood of Jesus is the new covenant.
The Lord directed us to create a covenant calendar to help you keep track of your daily covenant. It is crucial that you understand that the power in the covenant is to maintain the covenant on a daily basis without breaking it. Below are linked videos explaining what a covenant is and how to use the covenant calendar.
