God has given us His word to give us wisdom and to be our guide. In order to grow in discernment, we must study the word daily. When someone isn’t from God, there will always be signs because God’s will is not for His followers to be deceived by the devil but for us to overcome the world. Watch out for these signs!
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22 NLT)
These preachers either always looks angry or are constantly quarreling with believers or unbelievers. These people are loud mouths, have a cursing tongue, and engage in spreading gossip. They are rude and greedy for money. They deceive their desperate followers into spending all their money in their churches. They set a snare for their followers by spreading pastoral drama. They treat their pulpit as if it’s “theshaderoom”, spreading all kinds of lies and deceit, spreading rumors, and insulting other believers. Beware of the prophet who is always apart of social media drama. Avoid them at all costs!
“Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthian 6: 14-15 (NKJV)
Pay attention to the pastors who associate themselves with those who have a bad reputation; those known for being wild and greedy. For bad company corrupt good character and a little leaven leavens the whole lump. They will be caught in a snare and engage in the same kinds of acts.
“In like manner also that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls or costly clothing” (1 Timothy 2:9 NKJV)
The character of a wife reflects the true nature of her husband. God uses the heads of the church to influence the rest of His believers. A true women of God should not be materialistic; she won’t always wear expensive clothes or jewelry. She won’t always wear a full face of makeup with long eyelashes. She definitely won’t wear tight and revealing clothing. She also won’t be an extremist; always sexy, or always dressed like a tomboy, or always dressed too “holy”. A true women of God dresses in moderation, is simple, and embraces her natural beauty. She will also be a gentle and compassionate women who all the ladies feel comfortable confiding in. If the pastor’s wife lacks compassion, is extreme in how she dresses, and is quick to anger, the pastor is also compromised.
And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, and said unto them, “it is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves. (Matthew 21:12-13 NKJV)
God’s church is to pray and to teach. Many pastors and preachers are using the church offering to pay their mortgage instead of building a profitable business outside of the church. For this reason they pressure and deceive their congregation into giving an excessive amount of offering on top of selling them expensive merchandise such as clothing and oils. Selling merchandise in the church opens a gate that leads to witchcraft. It starts with selling hoodies, then manifests to charging people for deliverance, which is sorcery. If you enter a church and see a store or any merchandise being sold, leave immediately!
God required that you give only 10% of your income to the church but some teachers will pressure and demand their followers to give an excessive amount of money. They pervert the word and use it for their own profit. They say “the more you give, the more will be given back to you”. Or that “your deliverance is in your sacrifice”, and they’re talking about your money. They deceive their desperate followers into believing they will be blessed for giving the money demanded by saying, “I will pray for God to multiply it”. These preachers target the youth because they are easily deceived and more likely to spend excessively since they have less financial responsibilities than older adults. If you begin to attend a church and the majority of the demographics are teenagers and young adults, that is a bad sign.
“Now the Holy Spirit tell us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created these foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth.” (1 Timothy 4:1-2 NLT)
Every believer must read the Bible to learn the doctrine of Christ in order to discern the false teachings. Any doctrine that forbids marriage is teaching the doctrine of demons (The Catholic Church; priests and nuns). Any doctrine that professes Christ but prays to angels and “saints” instead of the name of Jesus, is teaching false doctrine (The Catholic Church ). Any church that has graven images worship idols (The Catholic Church ; Deut. 5:8). Any doctrine that professes Christ and forbids consuming certain foods are teaching the doctrine of demons (7th day Adventist). Any doctrine that professes Christ but teaches from another book besides the Bible is teaching false doctrine (The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints). Any doctrine that professes Christ but believes in a Polytheistic God is teaching false doctrine (Jehovah’s witness ; 1 John 5:7 NKJV). Any doctrine that teaches that the Holy Spirit is no longer needed is teaching false doctrine (Baptist).
When Satan deceived Adam and Eve, sin didn’t enter the world until they ate from the tree. They then realized they were naked and felt shame. Something happened spiritually once Adam and Eve ate the fruit. Initiations is a way to spiritually access and manipulate people.
- Food: You’ve probably heard women say when they first met their husband, there wasn’t an initial attraction, then after some time “the attraction grew”. The truth is that these women were initiated through being fed by their now husband. The way the women saw her husband changed regardless of the fact that the husband’s appearance remained the same. Once church preachers feed their congregation, they begin to have power over their emotions. In this way, false prophets and teachers are able to spiritually manipulate their followers to believe their false doctrines.
- Gifts: Accepting a gift from the wrong person may cause you to be spiritually manipulated, meaning you won’t be able to see something that is obvious to most people. “And thou shalt take no gift; for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous” (Exo 23:8 KJV). Beware of the church that always gives new-comers “gifts”.
- Holy Communion (covenants): The only time the people were able to lay hands on Jesus was when Jesus took Holy Communion with His 12 disciples. Satan entered into Judas when he accepted a bribe and covenanted with the chief priests and captains to betray Jesus (Luke 22:1-6). Judas entered into an evil covenant and was now compromised. Then Judas took the Holy communion with Jesus, which is a blood covenant. This blood covenant gave Satan access to Jesus and the power to attack Him by turning everyone against Him. Taking Holy Communion in a church that performs witchcraft gives the leader power to manipulate the minds of their followers. Witchcraft initiations cause people to be blind to obvious problems among their church and leaders, and they dismiss every red flag they see. The witchcraft causes them to believe deceptive teachings and to submit to their leaders authority no matter what they may ask them to do. Mass suicides are the result of a false teacher convincing their entire congregation to commit suicide because of witchcraft initiations.
False prophets and teachers use material objects to steal destinies and perform counterfeit miracles.
- Extra props: Churches that operate in the supernatural use extra props to conduct counterfeit deliverance such as “anointing oils” and mantles, which is a piece of clothe. The power in the name of Jesus is enough to deliver. These people are deceivers and practice sorcery.
- Sword: The sword represents the occult in the kingdom of darkness. Some false teachers receive a sword on the pulpit to make a public proclamation of who they truly serve. Stephanie Ike Okafor is one among many people who have made this public proclamation. These people are deceivers and leading God’s people astray. They have their consciences seared with a hot iron and target desperate people all for the intent of making money.
- Jewelry: Pay attention to the jewelry the church leaders wear; any rings, necklaces and bracelets they wear ALL the time. The rings resemble thick senior class rings, the necklaces may be a beaded necklace, and the bracelets are mostly beaded bracelets. If they wear jewelry that resemble any of these three all the time, that indicates the use of witchcraft.
- Clothing: Beware of the pastors/teachers who always wears a uniform on the pulpit. Every time you see them, they either wear the same color or the same kind of clothing. What is this person apart of that requires them to wear a uniform? Moses described in Exodus the attire of the high priests, so where did the black priestly gowns of our current time come from? (reader pay attention!) A person who truly fears God will avoid both extremes; he won’t always be dressed up nor will he always be dressed down (Eccl 7:15-18 NLT). The ones who wear uniforms in the church are apart of a cult. Every religion that subjects their followers or leaders to wear the exact same clothing are cults and are teaching false doctrines. Cults are meant to not only deceive people but lead them to the grave. Many religious cults have committed mass suicide because they listened to their leader. Beware of the church whose leader wears a uniform!
